ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SOUTHERN RAILWAY VACANCY 2018 POSTS

Qualification:

Candidates applying for SR Vacancy Recruitment should have the following educational qualifications,

Fitter, Painter & Welder: Should have passed 10th Class under 10, +2 System of education or its equivalent.
Electrician: Should have passed 10th Class under 10, +2 System of education with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent
Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic: Should have passed 10th Class under 10, +2 System of education with Science (Physics and Chemistry) and Mathematics or its equivalent
Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology): Should have passed 12th Class under 10, +2 system of education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Ex.ITI Category:-
Fitter, Machinist, MMV, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Welder Wireman, & R&AC: Should have passed 10th Class under 10 +2 System of education and ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI
Electrician: Should have passed 10th Class under 10 +2 System of education with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent and ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI
Electronics Mechanic & Winder (Armature): Should have passed 10th Class under 10 +2 System of education with Science (Physics and Chemistry) and Mathematics or its equivalent and ITI course in the relevant trade in Government recognized ITI
PASAA: Should have passed 10th Class under 10 +2 System of education & National Trade Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training in “Computer Operator and Programming Assistant”

Age Limit:

Welder, Painter, Fitter, Electrician, and R&AC – 15 to 22 Years
Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, and Cardiology) – 15 to 24 Years

Ex.ITI Category:

Welder, Carpenter, Painter, Wireman, Fitter, Electrician, R&AC, Winder(Armature), Electronics Mechanic, Turner, Machinist, Diesel Mechanic, MMV, PASAA – 15 to 24 Years
The upper age is relaxable up to 3 Years for OBC candidates, 5 Years for SC/ST candidates and 10 Years for Persons with disability (PH).
